RSNC San Francisco Vocational Services provides vocational evaluation, job training and employment opportunities to adults and young adults with disabilities, leading to self-sufficiency, enhanced self-confidence, and maximized potential. Our training programs are open entry and exit, where students progress at their own pace and level of ability.

Placement Services
Professional Placement Specialists match applicants' unique skills and aptitudes with career opportunities. To prepare a candidate for their job search, the Specialists may also assist with resume writing, mock interviews, and life skills training.

Follow-up and Retention Services
Post-employment follow-up services are provided if needed to ensure job retention.

Transitional Employment Program (TEP)
SFVS offers an on-site an on-site, clerical training and employment program called the Transitional Employment Program (TEP). TEP provides paid work experience at the State Compensation Insurance Fund, under the supervision of SFVS staff. Participants learn positive work habits, acquire a current work history, and develop clerical skills.

Transitional Partnership Program (TPP)
Professional staff work in partnership with the State Department of Rehabilitation and special education programs in East Contra Costa County to provide graduating seniors who have disabilities with services designed to facilitate a successful transition to employment. TPP services include tutoring in competencies needed for employment entrance exams and the Department of Motor Vehicles written drivers license test, as well as in life skills such as money management and using public transit.

Staff assist job seekers in preparing resumes, cover letters and job applications. Mock employment interviews are conducted. Staff develop job opportunities with many area employers, matched to individual needs and interests. Employers are coached in strategies for accommodation and effective supervision of employees with disabilities.

Our service area includes San Francisco, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
